Tosçelik Niksic orders rotary hearth furnace

Tosçelik Niksic based in Niksic, Montenegro, has awarded SMS Meer, Germany, the order for the supply of a rotary hearth furnace with a capacity of up to 12 tons per hour. The furnace will be used to heat materials like hardened steel, ball-bearing steel and stainless steel to forging temperature for further processing. With this rotary hearth furnace the company will be able to increase its productivity.

The MEER-Flame^® burner will allow a marked reduction of power consumption and NOx emissions in comparison with the currently used furnace.

The Level 2 control system SMS Prometheus^® ensures uniform temperature distribution as well as a low level of oxidation and carbon enrichment of the steel.
