Sarbak Metal orders 25-MN extrusion press
28.04.2014, 17:59Sarbak Metal from Istanbul, Turkey, has placed an order with SMS Meer, Germany, for the supply of a 25-MN extrusion press with outlet system for their works in Çerkezköy. The extrusion press flexibly produces wire rod, bars, profiles and pipes.
Billets of up to 240 millimeters in diameter and 800 millimeters in length can be extruded with a press force of 25 MN.
Thanks to the patented guide system and the inside piercer, the extrusion press achieves a good and reproducible pipe eccentricity.
The supplied press outlet system is an SMS Meer special develop-ment for careful material transport. The scope of supply is completed by the high-performance finish saw located at the end of the line. The overall plant is characterized by a high degree of automation.
Commissioning is scheduled for the third quarter of 2014.
