Anode Butt Stripper

VHE of Iceland manufactures a manually controlled anode butt stripper. The press is intended for use as a stand-by unit for use when a main butt press has been shut down for maintenance.
The manual butt stripper is a compact scissor design which operates between the yoke and the top of the anode butt. The tool is designed to remove the butt in one operation.
The butt press is suspended by a chain, The operator positions the press head between the yoke and butt. Operation is by hydraulic lever-valves on the handles of the equipment. The press exerts up to 15 tonnes of dynamic force to remove the butt from the yoke assembly. The press is available in several configurations to fit different yoke designs.
