The paper presents the background of Corporate Integrated Quality and Environment Management System (CIMS) implementation in MMC “Norilsk Nickel” (Company). Prerequisites for integrated system creation and benefits of management systems integration are shown. The key milestones of CIMS creation and development are specified: strategic decisions making, systematic actions arrangement and implementation, certification of quality management system at Polar Division, certification of integrated quality and environment management system at the Company Head Office, integration of certified systems into CIMS, wider system application by means of Polar and Murmansk Transport Divisions consolidation in CIMS. The progress is illustrated in the fields related to customer satisfaction, environmentally safe production and environmental protection as well as efforts are shown to implement the Company Policy in occupational health and industrial safety. Based on analysis the actions to enhance the customers’ satisfaction, e.g. the improvement of products chemical composition, exterior and packing, are planned and realized. Environment Management Program is being successfully implemented to achieve environmental goals. The efficiency of interrelated international standards requirements was proved by positive experience in introduction of Integrated Quality and Environment Management Systems for production and projects management, products storage and supply that makes CIMS integrationbased development reasonable.
