Obogashchenie Rud


 

The third issue of the journal opens with publications devoted to beneficiation as a technology and its individual processes. They present a combined processing of tungsten-molybdenum ores based on the differentiation of intra-block reserves using a new concept of lump sorting; the reagent mode of coking coals fine classes flotation is justified to improve the quality of coal concentrate and reduce waste; due to the high reliability of the neural network model, the effectiveness of using multifactor matrices for laboratory tests has been proven.

 

The article on technological mineralogy provides data on the content of native gold in complex placers of natural and technogenic origin in Russia. The basic technological scheme of the associated extraction of free gold into an independent commercial gold-containing concentrate is also presented.

 

For the purpose of complex use of raw materials in the publication of the corresponding section, a technology for pyrometallurgical processing of quartz-leucoxene concentrate is proposed. It also makes an assumption about the possibility of using the resulting products (pseudobrukit) as a raw material for the production of titanium compounds by traditional sulfuric acid methods.
 
The article in the «Equipment» section introduces a new method for determining the intensity of wear of coatings of pipelines and pump parts, head losses and a decrease in energy efficiency. On its basis, an experimental hydrotransportation unit was created for diagnosing the wear resistance of materials of hydrotransport systems. The topic is continued by the material based on the experience of a particular enterprise about the service life of gravel pump impellers during the beneficiation of diamond-bearing sands at the mines of Almazy Anabara JSC (Yakutia).
 
In «Historical сhronicles» specialists can get acquainted with the history of the production of road crushed stone in the USSR in the pre-war period.
